After successfully completing this course, the student will:
Use maps, globes, charts, graphs, and other tools of geography to gather and interpret data and to draw conclusions about physical and human patterns. Locate and describe the physical and cultural features of political regions. Demonstrate understanding of the relationships between physical and cultural environments. Demonstrate understanding of the relationship between economic development and the use and conservation of natural resources. Analyze the interaction of humans and the physical environment as influenced by culture, technology, migration, and skills. Apply research, study, critical thinking, and decision-making skills and demonstrate the use of new and emerging technology in problem-solving.
