At FBCS the preparation of children is our mission.
It is our belief that children are fearfully and wonderfully made…a
marvelous work of God (Psalm 139:14). We are committed to educating
elementary students spiritually, intellectually, physically, and
socially. Through the foundation laid in their early years and each
child's unique giftings and abilities, they will exhibit a positive, transformative influence on their world for Christ.
Florida Bible is committed to developmentally-appropriate, rigorous
learning in a small class setting. With a varied curriculum, students
are afforded the opportunity to acquire a core body of knowledge
and skills in mathematics, science, literacy/language development,
literature, and the social sciences through a hands-on, discovery
learning approach. Integrated across the curriculum, particular significance
is placed on creative writing, critical thinking, and shared inquiry.
Character development is accentuated through daily Bible classes,
a weekly chapel program, and a school-wide honor code. Co-curricular
activities-art, music, Spanish, library, computer, and physical education are
weekly offerings that round out the rich instruction provided at
the elementary level.
At Florida Bible Christian School our elementary teachers are second to
none. All of them are certified through the Association of Christian Schools
International. Many of our teachers are also state certified. In addition, FBCS
teachers are committed to professional development and participate in monthly
in-services, yearly workshops and seminars, and teacher conferences. As
a result, our teachers are determined to provide an academically challenging
and supportive learning environment that nurtures excellence throughout the
elementary division. |
