Dear Praying Friends.

We just received his news from Bolivia. It is hard to believe that after first contacting the first group of these people in 1947 that at this lat date in time there is this group that have come out to civilization for the first time. These are the Ayore, who we worked with and over the years have seen many of them leaving their nomadic life in the jungle and eventually coming to Christ and forming various churches. They numbered, as far as we know around three to four thousand, at one time and now have a Bible translated into their language, and transformed by the wonderful Grace of God.

Please pray with us for this new group of just eighteen. The Gospel is still the power of God to salvation, to all who believe.

In His Wonderful Grace. MEL WYMA

Here are some more of the group of people we worked with just arriving in civilization.. on the Paraguay side of Ayoré territory..

Please be praying that somehow the gospel can reach these "fresh out of the jungle" Ayore people who are being held by an anthropologist somewhat against their will. The Christians in Campo Loro really want to take them the gospel, but are being prohibited from seeing them, even though some are relatives of ayoreos living in Campo Loro. Maxine/Mom

Dear Friends,

On Wednesday, March 3, 2004, 4 young Totobiegosode came out of

the jungle where 2 Ayore men were working. There are 18 people in

total in this group. These are uncontacted Ayores, and as far as we

know this is their first prolonged contact with people other than their own group.

We, the missionaries of New Tribes Mission, did not make the

contact, nor did we know anything about it until we heard it from some

of the Ayores living in this area.

At the present time, they are being isolated in quarantine,

justifiably so, for medical reasons. We would like to ask special

prayer for them as we know that the group who seems to be in charge,

GAT, would like them to remain isolated from the Gospel and continue

in their native "religion".

My mind goes to 2 Tim 2:2. We have taught faithful Ayore

people, and even though it looks like we personally might not be able

to teach them God's plan of salvation, their fellow Ayores will be

able to. Do pray that they will be bold and faithful to clearly

present the Gospel to these lost people.

In Christ's love
