July Update and prayer requests

What can we say? Colorado is breathtaking! We had a wonderful time speaking, meeting new people, and taking in God’s extraordinary landscape. Thanks for praying. We also had the privilege of meeting several old friends while making many new ones during our 11 days. Since then, our time has been caught up with preparing for Sundays at Ganson Street Baptist Church, along with administrative and academic responsibilities for New Tribes Bible Institute. We are already gearing up for the new term. At present it looks like we will have another 100+ freshmen. Our little flower and vegetable garden is growing. Regina is working full time at a local doctor’s office. Jenny still works a little bit in the bookstore and with the mission prayer program. Our summer break is already half gone. I won't say how old I turn this month but the 9th is my birthday!

Here are specific prayers for the remainder of this month.

Pray for wisdom and compassion as we reach out to our co-workers on staff with us.

Pray for clarity of mind as I prepare for fall classes – revamping some of the notes and assignments.

Pray for messages at Ganson Street (July 10, 17, 31) to be spiritually encouraging, challenging, and life changing. Pray that they are clear and understandable and that the lost will understand the gospel.

Pray for insight as we seek to make a short 10 minute commissioning message meaningful. It will be at Mayfair Bible Church on the 24th. We are part of a commissioning service for a couple going to Papua New Guinea as associates with New Tribes Mission.

Pray that we will spend our lives on the most important things and know how to weed out those things which are not significant.

In addition to the above, would you please pray the following for us and yourself.

Phi 1:9-11 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
