March/April 2004 Colon Report

Highlights

My lecture about the Jewish involvement during the American Civil war in Lynchburg, was well received. A Jewish man and his daughter came up to me and just talked and talked. I guess he enjoyed my class. They may have been present for the “Doctor Rossvally” presentation, in which the Gospel was preached. Did the seminar determine whose side God was on? Forget about it!

Many came out to my Passover sessions. Hard to tell how many Jewish, but I know they came. One individual sat and smiled with approval of what I was saying, then flew out the back door when it was over. Maybe it had something to do with my closing challenge, “Is He your Lamb?” (Ex. 12:5).

Questioned the salvation decision of a Jewish lady. I wanted to be sure that it was real. Sometimes professions are made, but I have my doubts. So, occasionally I confront their belief. In this case it was real. I was glad, because it wasn’t that she heard the gospel only from me. My former co-worker, who went home to the Lord last summer, witnessed to her many times. A wonderful lesson of fruit bearing in faithfulness.

Two churches with a heart for Jewish evangelism may add us to their support family. Thanks to all of you for your faithful prayers and financial support.
