Thank you! These are exciting days as we play a background role in some fantastic things God is doing around the world. For example, we have been involved in finding the God-provided resources for installing and operating a satellite radio network which reaches all of Europe and the six countries of North Africa. These around-the-clock broadcasts in the Arabic language can be heard by most of the 80 million people in North Africa because 90% listen regularly to satellite broadcasts coming into their rooftop dish antennas. There are more dish antennas per capita there than any other area in the world. Look at the enclosed picture and praise the Lord. Another involvement has been in establishing a chain of FM stations across Poland. The sixth station should be on the air in a week or so. The first station which began broadcasting in January 1999 is located in Auschwitz near the infamous Nazi death camp. Interestingly, our antenna is mounted high on a brick smokestack which continues to carry the fumes away from the chemical plant which, more than 50 years ago, produced all the poison gas for the Auschwitz gas chambers. Look at the enclosed picture and praise the Lord. Another recent concern of ours has been the construction of a family practice clinic to function as a satellite of our Quito hospital in the town of Carapungo. This is the only medical facility serving more than 50,000 people and urgently needs expanded quarters. It needs to be functioning in the new building by November so the push is on. See the attached architectural sketch and the related picture of steel going up. Thank the Lord the people of Carapungo will have access to both spiritual and physical healing.
