May 1 - Pray for Dean and Joan's oldest daughter, Rachel,
who is in the
hospital in Laredo (April 26 ??) for dehydration in her pregnancy (second
child). Joan is attending her needs and trying to help Dean back in
San
Antonio to be prepared for his mission trip to country "X:.
May 2 - Lawson in Nigeria requests: Please pray the Lord
would grant us the
possibility to start house fellowships and to plant more churches and
give
us more laborers that would work with me in His harvest.
May 3 - For Melaku Abebe in Ethiopia: Pleas pray for the
newly organized
English school as a means of Evangelism. Pray for additional teachers
, good
teaching materials, right students ,registration issue, and for effective
evangelism.
May 4- For Meliaku Abebe in Ethiopia: Pleas pray for my
church planting
work. Pray for more workers , opportunities and effectiveness in winning
people for Christ, a car for country side ministries---
May 5- Pray for safety of all God's servants who travel
to various hostile
lands to the gospel.
May 6 - For Johan Deraeve in Belgium: Pray for our upcoming
mission trip
to Brazil (mid-June till end of July). Pray that the Lord will speak
to us
there concerning our desire for healthier church- structures in Belgium.
Pray that the Lord will use this in any way that He pleases to form
us to be
better equipped to serve as ministers for Belgium.
May 7 - Sergiu Fluierar in Moldova writes:
In 3 weeks I graduate the Bible Seminary. Please pray for a car for
me. As I
finish, I will need to moove a lot and this will help me to moove easy.
As
I told you before that God put in my heart
to go through the churches and motivate Christians to be doers of the
word
of God. I am going to teach this Seminar of "Make it Clear"
and it is the
best way and clear, effective way to motivate
peple to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
May 8 - Pray for Dean as he prepares to leave for country
"X" for the next
10 days or so.
May 9 - 11 - Pray for Dean as he leaves for the Islamic
Republic of "X".
Pray for his strength and good health as he travels some 45 hours to
his
ministry of destination.
May 12 - Pray for Dean as he reviews the plans for the
upcoming evangelistic
effort in this country. Pray that all the last minute details will be
handled.
May 13 - Pray for Dean as he meets various Christian leaders
and works
together to help encourage the small number of believers in this area
of
country "X". This will be our first day of
the Evangelistic Campaign.
May 14 - Pray that many unbelievers (Muslims and Hindus)
will come back to
the meetings of the campaign.
May 15 - Pray for the last day of our Evangelistic Campaign
and that many
hearts will turn to trust in Christ alone for the forgiveness of their
sins.
May 16 - Pray for Dean as he hopes to get out in public
to preach. Pray for
his safety and those who may go with him to interpret, etc.
May 17 - Pray for Dean as he returns from country "X"
and that he might have
many opportunities to share his faith in Christ while flying on several
planes and sitting in several airports.
May 18 - Sergiu Fluierar writes: As I need to travel a
lot and to do
seminars I will need additional support for expenses. I will need for
materials to prepaire for seminars or conferences and youth camp.
May 19 - From Sheila Harding in Liberia: As for as prayer
request for my
ministry work. Please pray that God will give me wisdom in all things
and
that I will know His will and Do it! Also, that joy would continue to
flood in as it has recently returned to me thru much prayer and fasting.
It
was a rough transition the first month but now God is showing me that
for
now, no matter how uncomfortable things are - THIS is His will for me
and
so I do count it all joy.
May 20 - Lawson in Nigeria requests: Pray for the forth
coming Crossway Cup
soccer evangelistic tournament slated for August 6th through September
24th,
2005 that the Lord would touch the hearts of all nonchristian players
who
will be participating in the competition that they might trust in Christ
alone for their salvation, and that the Lord would bless this event..
May 21 - Pray for boldness for each of us as we follow
God's leading in all
our conversations with our family and contacts.
May 22 - Pray for "follow up" on those who came
to Christ on Dean's last
mission trip to country "X". We are asking this in advance,
trusting that
God will give us fruit.
May 23 - Pray for more laborers to work with CrossWay
International and that
God will make His will clear concerning this.
May 24- Pray for decisions surrounding the building of
a home/office for
CrossWay International in the northern part of San Antonio.
May 25 - Pray for God's leading concerning which countries
Dean should visit
next on a mission trip. Pray that it will be very clear as there are
a
number of choices.
May 26 - Pray also for the clarity of the gospel, that
Christians will learn
to communicate clearly the grace of God and salvation by faith in Christ
alone.
May 27 - Pray for two of our Board members who are recovering
from serious
illnesses. Nelson has cancer and Gilda has Mixed Connective Tissue
Disorder. They are both showing good signs of recovery and healing.
May 28 - Pray for the spreading of the gospel, that it
would spread swiftly
and be honored even as it is among us.
May 29 - Pray for our salvation from men "whose reward
is in this life"
(Psalm 17). May each of us reflect on the kind of soil our hearts may
be in
terms of receiving the seed of God's word.
May 30 - Pray for Dean's involvement in various ministry
opportunities in
the Texas area. Pray that these decisions would be clear.
May 31 - For Johan Deraeve in Belgium: Pray that the Lord
may show us
clearly if He wants us to continue at the youth ministry position that
we
are presently at. Pray that the Lord will lead us in being faithful
workers
or his Kingdom in Belgium, that He will show us where to invest our
time and
energy.
