March Prayer Calendar for Dean and Joan Chollar with CrossWay International

For March 2005

Joan and I had a good trip to north Texas to visit and speak at Wayland
Baptist University, Plainview Christian Academy, the home group of the
Cummins, Park Springs Bible Church in
Arlington and Grace Bible Church in Granbury. Thanks for all your prayers
for this trip.

March 1 - Pray for Dean's mission trip to country "X"as we continue to make
plans to reach
out to this heavily Muslims land.

March 2 - Pray for the English School in Ethiopia which will use the Bible
as its text book and be
evangelistic in nature. This school will also help to fund its own program
as well as an internet
cafe and library. Pray for Kim, our first American teacher who is in
Ethiopia already and for
Melaku Abebe, our coworker in Ethiopia who is overseeing this.

March 3 - Pray for greater spirit-led boldness in all our lives as the Word
of God burns in our
hearts.

March 4 - Pray for Pastor Lawson Sampson, our team member in Nigeria, and
his faith in God to
provide more of his needs through the church in Badagry. Pray too for the
upcoming soccer tournaments and that many will come to faith in Christ
through these events.

March 5 - Pray for more laborers in God's harvest as we seek to fulfill the
church's greatest task:
the evangelization of the world.

March 6 - Pray for Sheila Harding, our team member who is close to leaving
on the Mercy Ship.
Pray for her strength and all the details in preparing for this long mission
trip.

March 7 - Pray for greater clarity from God in terms of our home office
space here in San
Antonio. We are moving forward in search of more room. Pray that our
support will continue to
grow and handle this need.

March 8 - Pray for more opportunities to share our faith in Christ and for
open doors in our
personal witness to others in our family, work and for me as I travel
overseas.

March 9 - Pray for Sergiu and Tanya in Moldova especially for 6 teenage
girls whom Tanya is
discipling. Most have lost their mother, have alcoholic fathers and several
have been sexually
abused by family members. They all need shampoo, soap, toothpaste, and
above all, ... a lot of
love. (More details below)

March 10 - Pray for the clear teaching of the gospel in all our ministries
so that no one is left
wondering what God is asking them to do: To trust in Jesus Christ alone, who
died for their sins
and rose from the dead, and then guarantees eternal life to all who would
trust in this message of
great love from God.

March 11 - Pray for our upcoming Board of Directors meeting on April 1 and
the decisions that
will need to be made concerning various important issues.

March 12 - Pray for the plans to go to Guyana ... these have been postponed
at this time due to
the heavy flooding and resulting disease of that area. Many schools have
not reopened and fresh water is in short supply. Pray for Bill Upchurch,
our friend and contact there.

March 13 - Pray for an administrative assistant for Dean as he struggles
both with the load of
increased work he has and with his blindness.

March 14 - Pray for the spreading of the gospel that it would be swift and
that it would be
honored even as it is among us.

March 15 - Pray for Fernando Diaz, our team member in Spain and for his son
Josh who has been
sick. Pray for their church plant in Madrid area and their work with radio
evangelism in Spain.

March 16 - Pray for the sell of our home as we look to find something with
more space for both
home and office needs.

March 17 - Pray for the safety of those in more hostile countries to the
gospel and for all our
military in Iraq. Pray for our son, Micah, who is stationed in Germany and
works in and out of
some very dangerous zones.

March 18 - Take a few minutes now and pray for several individuals you may
know in your circle
of influence who need Christ and the concrete step God may be asking you to
take to befriend
them.

March 19 - Pray that we all might bring the right kind of sacrifices to God:
"the sacrifices of God
are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not
despise.." (Ps. 51)

March 20 - Pray for Gilda Aragon, one of the members of our Board as she
continues to slowly
recover from sickness. She is home now and able to walk with a walker.

March 21 - Pray for Johan Deraeve, our team member in Belgium, and his work
with the youth
and development of new strategies to disciple and reach the lost.

March 22 - Pray for our hearts as we approach God in our daily lives, that
we would be more and
more aware of the personal leading of God's Spirit in terms of how we relate
to one another
knowing that evangelism happens in and through relationships.

March 23 - Pray specifically for the following teenage girls in Moldova.
(These following excerpts are taken from an email from Tanya who is marrying
Sergiu, our coworker, this summer in Moldova. Her English is left unedited
so
you can get a full flavor of her heart.

(from Tanya) - "Pray for Sveta she is 16 years old and her brother is 14
years old. Her mother died when she was 4 or 5 years and her brother was 3
years. Right now they live
with their grand mother and she is sick. Their grand mother doesn't work and
it's hard but Sveta and her brother have to go to school and they need to
pay
for books and to buy for a school some requiring things."

March 24 - (from Tanya in Moldova) "Pray for Alice 19 years and Galina 16
years in Moldova - two sisters. They live difficult life too. Their mom is
prostitute and left them
with grand mother and they have also sister and she is 10 years old. When
Alice was small, her father did sex with her and she is destroyed physically
and mentally. She suffers mentally but I see how much she loves Jesus. She
thinks like 16 years old youth and she has a little problem with brain. She
has problem with vision and her sister too. They need new glasses. They
don't
have money to eat, sometimes I help them but it is not enough. I invited to
our club and she can come freely and eat what we have to share."

March 25 - (from Tanya in Moldova) "Pray for Olga 19 years old, her mother
died in October 2004. She lives with her grand mother and her grand mother
are blind for 8 years, just imagine
this picture."

March 26 -(from Tanya in Moldova) "Pray for Alina 16 years old, her mother
divorced with her father and her live with her father only. It is so hard to
live with father because he
sometimes came home drunk."

March 27 - (from Tanya in Moldova) "Pray for Alice 16 years old, she
loosed her father in December 2004. Her mother is drunker and she doesn't
have food at home and money to go to the school. I help them with spiritual
food but they need physical also. They need
shampoo, toothpaste, clothes, socks; I think you understand what girls need
in
this age. I really want that they will be blessed both physical and
Spiritual.
Please pray for them and for me that God meet al this needs and that He is
glorified through these problems."

March 28 - Pray for the sell of one of the laptops I brought to Ethiopia.
We hope to use this "seed" money to start up the English School for
evangelism. Pray that we get an adequate amount of profit to begin.

March 29 - Pray for Melaku Abebe, our newest team member in Ethiopia, and
for his increased desire to have a greater impact for the Lord in evangelism
... pray that he might get the Make It Clear! seminar ready for copies on CD
in their national language.

March 30 - Pray for Nelson Oberholtzer, the president and chairman of
CrossWay International. He has a form of cancer, they now determined, which
is both treatable and curable. Pray for his full recovery. He only uses a
cane at this point and gets around quite well.

March 31 - Pray for the churches in Belgium which know the Chollars that
they might get behind some of our coworkers to pray and support them.
Francois Thijs and Jean Loyens are heading up this effort to move things
forward for us.
