Prayer Calendar for June 2005
June 1 - Pray for the 50 new believers in Country "X"
from Dean's last
mission trip. They will no doubt face the test of fire and persecution
from
family members and radical Muslim extremists.
June 2 - Pray for Sergiu in Moldova and for his desire
to get married.
It's difficult to find a place to live on his present level of support
so
please pray that God will increase his support.
June 3 -Pray for the various evangelistic plans that Sergiu
has made for
Moldova and his faith to trust God to work through and in him.
June 4 - Pray for Sheila Harding on the Mercy Ship docked
at the coast of
Liberia, Africa. At this time they need electricians and plumbers for
repairs on the ship.
June 5 - Pray for Sheila Harding's kids. Sean is in Iraq
with the military
and does not have funds to come home for a visit. Praise Item: Her
daughter Sarah was assigned to Hawaii,
June 6 - Pray for Sheila Harding's neck problems as she
serves on the Mercy
Ship and that she might be able to line up a trip for Dean to come and
minister
June 7 - Pray for Nelson Oberholtzer who has cancer. A
second tumor was
found ... this time in his jaw and he will be going through radiation
for
that.
June 8 - Pray for Dean's daughter Rachel who lives in
Laredo, Texas and is
presently on an IV due to severe morning sickness. This will be her
second
child.
June 9 - Pray for Bethany Chollar who is living with Rachel
(see above) and
helping to take care of her and her one year old little girl as Bethany
also
tries to attend college during the summer courses.
June 10 - Pray for Joan as she leaves for Washington to
help Jason Chollar
and his family with a move to their new home in Stanwood, Washington.
June 11 - Pray for Lawson Sampson in Nigeria and his plans
to hold the
CrossWay Cup Soccer tournament again. Pray for a successful tournament
with
many coming to Christ.
June 12 - Pray for Dean as he preaches at Northwest Community
Church in San
Antonio, Texas and discusses his latest mission trip to Country "X".
June 13 - Pray for more laborers in God's harvest especially
where CrossWay
is actively busy: Country "X", Nigeria, Moldova, Spain, Ethiopia,
Belgium,
Liberia.
June 14 - Pray for the planning schedule of Dean as he
begins to line up
his fall, winter and spring mission trips and speaking engagements.
June 15 - Pray for the lost. How many of us overlook the
person in our
neighborhood, office, club, our waiter in the restaurant, letter carrier,
sales agent, and on and on. Who can really say we don't know anyone
who
needs Christ? Pray that God might open our eyes.
June 16 - Pray that the church might take more of an offensive
posture
against the "gates" of hades. Gates are to protect and defend.
Are we
attacking in the love of Christ? Or are we hiding and taking a defensive
position? If so, why?
June 17 - Pray for Sergiu Fluieraru who just graduated
from Moldova Bible
Seminary and the support needs he faces to get his ministry moving forward.
He still could use more monthly support and also a car for transportation.
June 18 - Pray for Gilda Aragon, a member of our Board and her recovery
from Mixed Connective Tissue Disorder.
June 19 - Pray for Dean as he teaches and presents his
ministry to Coker
Church in San Antonio along with John Hall.
June 20 Pray for our continued search for a location for
our office/home.
June 21 - Pray for the plans to try and start a School
of English for
evangelism in both Ethiopia and Country "X". This appears
to be much more
difficult than first thought.
June 22 - Pray for greater clarity on behalf of all Christians
who share the
gospel of grace that God guarantees eternal life to all who put their
trust
in Christ, who died for their sins and rose again.
June 23 - Pray for the selection of an accounting firm
to perform an
external audit to help us comply with the standards of the ECFA. The
charge
for this audit is sky high after the Enron debacle.
June 24 - Pray for Joan as she is scheduled to return
from Washington after
helping our son Jason and his family get settled into their new home.
June 25 - Pray for Dean as he plans to go to Piedras Negras,
Mexico with
Bill and Diana Upchurch to do some teaching and ministry.
June 26 - Pray for greater boldness on the part of each of us that we
will
not be ashamed of Christ or His words. (End of Mark 8)
June 27 - Pray for the spreading of the gospel that it
would happen swiftly
and be honored even as it is among us.
June 28 - Pray for peace in country "X" so that
the gospel may go forth
unhindered in this Muslim country.
June 29 - Pray for the safety of all our military around
the world,
especially those who are Christians and using their opportunity to share
Christ with others.
June 30 - Pray for sufficient Bibles and tracts for the
evangelistic
projects planned by Lawson Sampson in Nigeria
