July 2005 Prayer Calendar for CrossWay International

July 1 Pray for the president of CrossWay International, Nelson Oberholtzer as he undergoes chemo-therapy for his cancer. Pray that his side-effects are minimal and that he recovers completely. Pray, too, for Gilda Aragon who continues to recover from her serious illness.

July 2 Our coworker, Melaku in Ethiopia asks: Pleas pray for peace and safety of all of us hear in Ethiopia. There have been a number of killings due to political unrest in Addis Ababa and a potential growing anti-Christian movement..

July 3 Melaku also asks prayer for: Pleas pray for the English school especially for God's provision. We hope to use this school for evangelism in Ethiopia.

July 4 Melaku asks for more prayer: Please pray for Kim and her stay in Ethiopia. Please pray for her safety and peace as she is going out to teach English when we start classes. She is an American and may become more of a target if things worsen politically here in Ethiopia.

July 5 Please pray for Joy Sampson, Lawson's wife, as she had her appendix removed. Pray that she recovers and that they can cover the medical bills. (In Nigeria)

July 6 For Sheila Harding on the Mercy Ship somewhere between Liberia and England: She has been struggling with neck problems. Pray "for a good chiropractor soon as I hit East London ... also prayer for more plumbers & electricians for the dry dock time"

July 7 Sheila Harding also asks for: "prayer that the African Mercy will soon be completely finished and ready to sail as Mercy Ship had to retire the Caribbean Mercy for this whole next year."

July 8 Pray also for Micah Chollar who is in a non-released area flying for the Air Force.

July 9 For our coworker in country "X", please pray for their desire for monthly support as we work more closely and often together.

July 10 Pray for Dean as he speaks at a church in San Antonio and then goes to preach at the alcoholics Recovery Center. Pray that many will come to faith in Christ

July 11 Please pray for a car for transportation for our coworker in country "X".

July 12 Pray for Sergiu in Moldova now that he has graduated from seminary ... pray that the Lord will sustain and guide his ministry.

July 13 Pray that our gospel presentation might be clear when we explain to others that we are freed from our sins by the blood of Jesus, who died for us and rose from the dead. And that simple trust in Him is sufficient to cleanse us from all our sins, past present and even future.

July 14 Pray for Johan and Kersti Deraeve in Belgium as they investigate effective means of evangelism which results in maturity

July 15 Pray for Dean as he leaves for Piedras Negras, Mexico and that he will have opportunities to win others to Christ through his preaching and witness.

July 16 Pray for more God-given opportunities to share our faith in Christ with our family, friends, neighbors and people in general. Pray right now for that opportunity.

July 17 Pray for Johan and Kersti Deraeve in Belgium That they may apply what they learned in their recent trip to Brazil in their own situation Pray too That they may personally grow closer to the Lord and see the world through His eyes

July 18 Pray for Encounter radio in greater Madrid, Spain area. God is opening doors in several villages to start new radio stations. We need $2,500 for each station. Pray for help in planting a evangelistic radio stations in one of these 8,000 towns without any evangelical church.

July 19 For Fernando and Nely Diaz in Spain: In Madrid we are broadcasting to some points but we are having some problems with the government in Madrid. It's related with a problem of religious liberty. Pray that in the next months this problem can have a solution.

July 20 Pray for Fernando Diaz and his ministry in evangelism. Also for the group that is growing in Guadalixand the Church in Saconia. "We are going to start a 2nd service. Pray also that God will provide all what we need."

July 21 Pray for greater boldness for all our coworkers, contacts and prayer partners around the world. This includes you! May God give you greater boldness to love others to Christ.

July 22 Pray for Dean's scheduling of future foreign trips: Right now he has on the drawing board the following countries: the seven countries in which our coworkers and contacts live as well as invitations to Kenya, Uganda, India Mexico, Guyana. Pray for clear leading from the Lord.

July 23 Pray for more laborers in God's harvest.

July 24 Pray for Dean as he teaches and preaches in Clearwater, Kansas. Praise too for the funds for Bibles for one of our countries in the middle east from their Vacation Bible School efforts.

July 25 A special praise from Fernando Diaz in Spain: Praise God for the opportunity that we had in Madrid preaching the Gospel in two special nights of city-wide effort in evangelism . We had around 30,000 people each night and around 2000 people made a decision trusting Jesus as their personal Savior.

July 26 Pray for the office situation at CrossWay International as we look for a larger piece of land on which to build our home and office which will allow the function and expansion of our ministry..

July 27 Continue to pray for Jonathan Pajak, who burned his eyes several months ago adding chemicals to his pool. He lives in the Dallas area and is a friend of Belinda, one of our staff members. His eyes are recovering but one is deficient in moisture.

July 28 Pray for the spreading of God's word and that it will be done swiftly and be honored even as it is among us. Special praise for Bibles for country "X".

July 29 Pray for the safety of all missionaries and all our military personnel around the world.

July 30 Pray right now for one or two lost people that you may know and a chance for them to hear the gospel.

July 31 Pray for Dean as he has tentative plans to preach and or teach this Sunday.
