Prayer Calendar for February 2006

February 1 - Pray for Dean's upcoming trip to Monrovia, Liberia and that the
rioting and violence will subside. There is a travel advisory out and quite
a bit of tear gas being used and rioting. This trip is planned for March
2nd. Tickets have already been purchased and we are making plans to go
forward.

February 2 - Pray for Dean as he leaves for his teaching/preaching trip to
Naples, Florida.

February 3 - Continue to Pray for Nelson Oberholtzer as he recovers from the
stem cell transplant therapy for his cancer. All is looking very good right
now but pray that this continues.

February 4 - Pray for the Johnathan Godsey family. Johnathan is a Director
with CrossWay and an excellent professional photographer. Several months
ago his office burned down. Then last week he had a car accident and was
injured. Then last Sunday his daughter had a serious car accident and was
injured and shortly before all that, Ginny, his wife broke her foot and is
in a cast.

February 5 - Pray for Bethany Chollar as she is now planning on Marrying
Adam Wainio this coming July 1st. Pray that God will bless this marriage.
Bethany is the fourth and last child of ours to get married. She was
engaged and received her ring in January. (More to come on this one)

February 6 - Pray for the official start of the English School (for
evangelism) in Ethiopia. We have held a pilot program for the past year and
have now received funding to make a greater effort. Pray that all will go
well and that this ministry might be successful in leading many to Christ.

February 7 - Pray for Tony Mirabella and his new church plant in
Fayetteville, Georgia (Grace Community Church). While I was there in
January, he received a threatening phone call from a man hyped on drugs who
claimed he would "destroy" him, his family and friends. This man has a
history of violence.

February 8 - Pray for the monthly support needs of CrossWay International as
February is traditionally a low month. As we expand our ministry, pray that
both our prayer and support base will expand, too. (The plane ticket alone
for Liberia was $2250)

February 9 - Pray for Sergiu Fluieraru in Moldova as he continues his work
for CrossWay International through evangelism and training others in this
vital area.
Pray too for his support needs especially for a car.

February 10 - Pray right now for an opportunity to share the gospel with
someone. Perhaps you can ask the Lord to show you a specific step you might
take to move toward sharing the gospel with a friend, coworker, neighbor,
family member, etc.

February 11 - Pray for Melaku and Sosi Abebe in Ethiopia as they set up the
English School (for evangelism) and for his "house churches" he is planting.

February 12 - Pray for the safety of those who guard and protect our
liberties here in the USA; Pray for Jeremy Beasely (border patrol agent and
married to Rachel) and for Micah Chollar (AF pilot stationed in Germany).
May we not take this freedom for granted.

February 13 - Pray for Maurice and Bea Evans in Guyana who are working on
lining me up a mission trip to their country. We are still uncertain of
when this might be best. Pray for God's leading in the timing of this trip.
Also for Joe Potter who is planning to move there.

February 14 - Pray that husbands won't forget what today is and how to renew
their hearts toward loving their wives as Christ loved the church. May each
of us husbands realize that we are called to follow Christ. "If anyone will
come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me".
May each of us husbands learn greater patience and self-denial in truly
caring for our wives.

February 15 - Pray for Malcolm Harris in Moldova as he makes arrangements
for Dean to come to Liberia. This is a new undertaking for him as he looks
into possible ways for Dean to serve on his upcoming trip.

February 16 - Pray for a greater sensitivity to the Lord's leading and how
best to relate to various coworkers and others. God works in and through
relationships.

February 17 - Pray for Fernando Diaz and his radio and church planting
ministry in Spain.

February 18 - Pray for Dean as he leaves for a mission conference in
Arlington, Texas and to visit a church in Granbury too..

February 19 - Pray for Dean as he speaks at the missions conference in
Arlington and visits later that day with old friends in Granbury, Texas.

February 20 - Pray for the clarity of the gospel, that people would not
hesitate proclaiming the absolutely free gift of salvation guaranteed to all
who would but place their trust in Jesus Christ alone, who died for their
sins and rose from the dead. May we all learn and practice using clear
terminology which unbelievers clearly understand.

February 21 - Continue to pray for Dean's tentative planned trip to Iraq in
May. Pray too, for his contact person from Chantilly Bible Church.

February 22 - Pray that the gospel might spread quickly and be honored
wherever we may have a chance to share it.

February 23 - Pray for Aaron Chollar, Dean and Joan's grandson who is
autistic and for the best treatment for his particular condition. They are
trying a number of different therapies with various degrees of success.

February 24 - Pray for greater boldness for each of us when it comes to
sharing our faith and love for Christ.

February 25 - Pray that the visa for Dean's trip to Liberia will be
processed in time for him to leave on this mission trip.

February 26 - Pray for the preparations for Dean's trip to Liberia and that
God will enable Malcolm, his contact, to make the necessary arrangements to
accomplish God's plans and will.

February 27 - Pray for more laborers for the work of evangelism.

February 28 - Pray for Lawson and Joy Sampson as they continue to minister
faithfully to their church in Nigeria. Pray too for a possible trip to
visit and encourage him in his ministry.
