Prayer Calendar for CrossWay International
August 1 - Remember Nelson Oberholtzer, the President of CrossWay International in your prayers as he continues his chemo-therapy for cancer. Also for Gilda Aragon as she tries to regain her strength from the serious illness. August 2 - Pray for the 70-plus individuals who trusted in Christ for their salvation last month during the preaching of Dean in the Templo San Pablo Church in Piedras Negras, Mexico and that they will receive the kind of follow up needed for good growth and care. August 3 - Pray that the Lord might find us a piece of land on which we can build our office/home for CrossWay International. We are now looking near the Boerne, Comfort, Kerrvill or Fredericksburg areas of Texas. August 4 - Pray for those of us who have been financially blessed by God so that we might invest in eternity and not just in temporal goals. "A man is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose." Jim Elliott Also, if the Lord leads you to support any of our coworkers, feel free to let us know. August 5 - Pray for Karen Isherwood, who is 34 with 4 kids and has advanced cancer. She is the daughter of Carl and Michael Greene in Newnan, Georgia. Carl is the pastor of one of our supporting churches. August 6 - Johan and Kersti Deraeve who are on a one month
mission trip to August 7 - Pray that God will continue to raise up laborers for His harvest and that Christians will not refrain from stepping forward to meet the challenge ahead of us. August 8 - Pray for Sheila Harding on the Mercy Ship. She recently wrote: Please pray for my endurance. I am seriously considering coming home in Oct. before the ship returns to Liberia as I don't know if I can do for 4 months without a chiropractor. Please pray for wisdom for me. August 9 - Pray for the safety of our military and their tremendous opportunity to take the gospel to places where many missionaries can only dream about. going. August 10 - Pray for all of us that we will have even more opportunities to share our faith in Christ and that when they come, we are paying attention and don't miss them!
August 12 - Sergiu Fluieraru in Moldova also asks that we pray for a car for him and also for his wedding. August 13 - Pray for Lawson Sampson in Nigeria as he heads up the soccer tournament to evangelize the youth in Badagry area of Nigeria. Pray that many young people will come to Christ. It is scheduled between mid August and mid September. August 14 - Pray for Dean and Joan as they try to get off for a few days of vacation. August 15 - Pray for the clarity of the gospel in your church as some may come to church and walk out without understanding that God is offering the total forgiveness of all past, present and future sins by simply trusting in Christ alone who died for their sins and rose from the dead. Do they truly understand it is an absolute, 100% free gift? August 16 - Pray for Joy Sampson, Lawson's wife, who was recently in the hospital but seems better now. The problem was not clearly established. Pray that her health continues. August 17 - Pray for Dean as he preaches at SAM shelter to men who have great needs. August 18 - Pray for a closer walk with our Lord and that our hearts will be good soil for the seed of His word. Pray that we all will not forget how precious His Word is and should be to us. August 19 through 21 - Pray for the needs of the Muslim

are looked down on and August 22 - Pray for operating expenses of the House of Mercy Orphanage in Piedras Negras, Mexico. He has plans right now to visit: Guyana, Suriname, Moldova and Liberia for fall and part of his winter schedule. He is still filling in some holes if you would like him to come and share at your church. August 24 - Please pray for our staff (Joan - office manager; Sue and Belinda who handle our accounts; and others who help out from time to time). August 25 - Pray again for Sheila Harding who is in South Africa right now and still struggling with her back and neck problems as she serves on the mercy ship. Pray too for Malcolm, in Liberia, who is arranging my trip in December. August 26 - Pray for Dean's trip to Moldova in November as he begins to firm up his travel schedule according to the desire of the Lord. August 27 - Pray for the safety of all our missionaries as we become more and more a target of the terrorists around the world. August 28 - Pray for peace in the world so that the gospel might go out unhindered and all might have the opportunity to come to the knowledge of the truth. August 29 - Pray for greater boldness on the part of all Christians as we have opportunity to share our faith with those around us. August 30 - Pray that fear will not overtake us as the world becomes less and less secure, may our eyes be more and more on Christ. (2 Tim. 1:7) August 31 - Stop and pray right now that God might disclose
to you the name of an unbeliever that you should pray for and one concrete
step you might take to reach out to this lost soul. Remember, He moved
someone to reach
