Update on approved projects for 2002

We have seen the Lord provide for our Project 7 (Sports Equipment for
Nigeria), but still need prayer for the other projects in our budget.
Please keep these in your prayers as God leads you and thank you for your
partnership.

Project 1

Project 2
Lawson’s Car

One of the hardships that faces this young evangelist/pastor is
transportation. He is a skilled driver but needs a way to pick up various
teachers and visiting missionaries from the Lagos airport. In addition, it
would greatly facilitate his ministry of evangelism and the pastoral
visiting which is desperately needed at this time.

Total $2,000

Project 3
Evangelistic Campaigns in Nigeria and Uganda

Two Evangelistic Campaigns.

One is planned for Owerri, Nigeria in the fall of 2002.
We are praying for a 50,000 seat stadium. This will involve a large range
of denominations and we are praying for a great harvest.

We need all kinds of advertisement (radio, bulletins, TV) and rent for these
venues. We are asking the churches in Nigeria to carry a percentage of the
costs but their resources are very limited. So we would like to invite you
to participate as God leads you. and personally help out.

Our second evangelistic campaign is being planned for Northwest part of
Kampala, Uganda in March of 2003 with Gerald K. Sseruwagi. Gerald is with
Impact Ministries, New Life Community Church in Kampala, Uganda. He
graduated from Texas Bible College and is eager to see his people come to
faith in Christ.

Each campaign is estimated to be around $20,000. As son as we have half of
this, we are willing to move forward and firm up dates and plans.

Project 4
The Journey Tract in Different Languages

We are seeing more and more a need for a clear evangelistic tract that is
adapted to the specific target country and language. The Journey tract
meets this criteria.

I have recently researched many tracts and find that a large majority use
unclear terminology or wording that is confusing. Add to that the terms and
illustrations that do not fit the culture or are offensive to the culture,
and it leaves very few choices. We have printed this tract in English,
Russian and Dutch and hope to add Romanian and others in the near future.
The average cost of printing is $3500 for each language.

Project 5
Evangelism Among the Blind in Russia

We have an open door from the Society for the Blind in Penza Russia to bring
the gospel to the lost of this target group. This can be accomplished by
purchasing them a specialized cassette player ($60 each) and then providing
tapes with a clear evangelistic message. We have provided one such tape but
many do not have the cassette players. The blind in Russia receive only $15
a month to live on which does not allow them to purchase these players for
themselves.

Our coworkers in Penza, Russia, (Vasily Dmitrievsky and Dima Gizbreht) will
assist me in distributing and overseeing this project. We have 200 names of
those who need these players. An estimated $19,500 is needed for this
project.

200 players X $60 $12,000
Transportation $ 4,000
(Includes my plane ticket)
Tapes (Bible & sermons)) $ 2,000
Storage and handling costs $ 1,500

Total $19,500

Project 6
Radio Station in Madrid, Spain

In September 2001 we have started broadcasting and now we are preparing the
studios
and offices. Here are some practical things we need:

Work on walls and floor for sound insulation $1,500
Tables, chairs, file cab. etc., for the Studio $1,200
2 Computers $1,400
Equipment for the office (fax, printer, tables) $ 400
Booklets and tracts to send to people $ 500

Total $5,000

Project 7
Sport Ministry in Badagry, Nigeria

We have around 75 young boys enrolled in our CrossWay International Sport
Ministry in Nigeria. Lawson Sampson heads this up and teaches the boys the
gospel and biblical principles of living. The boys are enthusiastic but
lack much of the equipment and uniforms they need. Many are from very poor
families and are fortunate to get a decent meal much less tennis shoes, etc.

We are in need of:
4 soccer balls $ 250
4 basket balls $ 250
Uniforms $1,200 (to $1,800)
Tennis shoes $1,300

Total $3,000 (to $3,600)
Project has been filled by God’s grace.
